PNC113 Maternal Newborn Nursing

This course combines theoretical and clinical experiences to provide the practical nursing student with entry level competencies in providing family centered nursing care for the healthy mother or mother with complications during the prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum stages of pregnancy. Also included is nursing care of the normal newborn and the newborn with complications. Integrated concepts include nutrition, pharmacology, women’s health, age related concepts, cultural considerations, and leadership and management responsibilities.
