Moberly Area Community College Residential Life Handbook 2026-2027

Welcome Letter

Welcome to Moberly Area Community College Residential Life!

Your success as a student—and as a resident of the MACC community—is our number one priority. The faculty and staff of MACC are glad to have you here and want to see you make the most of your college experience. Successful living in the residence halls requires a little work on your part. Rules and regulations are established to protect the health, safety, privacy, and rights of all residents. In any community, citizens are responsible for their own behavior, and when that behavior violates the rules of a community, enforcement must occur. This should not be considered an infringement upon one’s personal life style. MACC is committed to creating the best possible learning environment for our students. This includes developing and maintaining a level of trust and confidentiality. However, if information received is threatening, either to self, others, or to property, it will be shared with the appropriate MACC official who will decide the course of action.

If you have a situation as a resident that you need help with, you can call on your dorm supervisors, or you can contact the on-duty security officer. You can also contact the Director of Security and Residential Life, or the Dean of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. All of those numbers are on the following page. We are here to offer guidance and assistance in any way we can. WE WANT YOU TO SUCCEED, and we’re here to help!

We look forward to your arrival, and hope that your stay will be successful, exciting and memorable.

Sincerely,

Lori Bruner
Director of Security and Residential Life
